State Senator Johnny Mautz speaking at his Eastern Shore campaign rally

Eastern Shore First. Always.

Serving as your State Senator for District 37 has been the honor of my life. If you'll allow me to continue the important work we've started, I pledge to keep fighting tirelessly for our Eastern Shore families, our watermen and farmers, and the values we hold dear. I'm asking for your trust and your vote in 2026.

Constituent service is my top priority. I pledge to continue to be there for you and your family if you ever feel that you need me.

Where Johnny stands

Affordability. Accountability. Energy.

Annapolis keeps making it more expensive to live and work on the Eastern Shore. Here's how Johnny's fighting back.

01 / 06

Affordability.

We have to lower the cost of living!

It's not any one tax — it's all of it, all at once. New fees on your tires. Higher car registration. Property assessments up double digits. A power bill that climbs every few months. Johnny's standing between Annapolis's appetite for your money and your family's budget.

02 / 06

Accountability.

Take hikes, Find the fraud & waste first.

Before Annapolis takes more of your money, it ought to prove it's not wasting what it already has. State audits keep turning up millions in wasteful payments, charges nobody approved, and contracts where the work was never done. Johnny says: clean it up first.

03 / 06

Energy.

Energy prices must come down.

Your power bill keeps climbing — driven by policy choices in Annapolis and surging demand from out-of-state data centers. Working families and small businesses are stuck with the tab. Johnny's fighting for affordable, reliable, homegrown power.

04 / 06

Watermen.

"Why can't we sell our seafood?"

The Bay's oysters are as healthy as they've been in a generation — but our watermen just lived through one of the worst seasons in memory. Johnny grew up on this water. He's fought to open new markets for our watermen, protect our oyster grounds, and make sure the people who feed the country can make a living doing it.

05 / 06

Schools & local control.

Fight Annapolis' unfunded mandates!

The Blueprint is a $4-billion-a-year program written for Baltimore and pushed onto our four counties — and eventually onto your property tax. Johnny wants what every Shore parent already knows works: trade schools, apprenticeships, and the schools we have getting what they need before Annapolis writes another check it can't cash.

06 / 06

The Shore.

This is home and is worth protecting.

The Shore doesn't vote like a Republican district or a Democratic district. It votes like the Shore. Johnny works with anyone who shows up for our watermen, our farmers, and our families — and pushes back on anyone who doesn't, regardless of party.

Meet Johnny

One of us.
For the Shore.
Always.

Johnny isn't a politician who discovered the Eastern Shore on a campaign map. He's spent a lifetime on the Shore, built his life here, and runs a family business that's been part of St. Michaels since 1979.

He knows our watermen, our farmers, and our small business owners because he is one — and he's spent his career making sure Annapolis remembers we exist.

"The Shore has its own way of life. My job is to protect it."

On a positive note

Not just the fight.
The neighbors.

When Johnny isn't pushing back on Annapolis, he's at home on the Shore — at the Waterfowl Festival, at parish breakfasts, with Hunters Feeding the Hungry, in the room when Soil Conservation talks about next year's planting season.

Three days every November — decoy carvers, retriever demos, and the Shore showing up for itself. Johnny rang the duck gavel for the 54th in 2025.

Hunters Feeding the Hungry

Eastern Shore hunters donate venison to fill church pantries. Johnny pushed Governor Hogan for the tax credit that keeps the program running.

Knock ten doors. Make ten calls. Drop a yard sign at the farm or the boat ramp. One neighbor, one porch — that's how District 37 stays in friendly hands. They have the Annapolis machine. We have the Shore.
